I certainly agree with the second part of that. It's CL 2nd round or nothing for me. The UEFA Cup can **** right off. And if we did get into it, I think I'd actually be worried that Rafa might play the strongest team and actually try to win it.

Our current displays do not give me any hope that we'll go through. Our two displays against Marseille and tonigth are the two worst I've seen since Houllier prob, and that gives me no confidence whatsoever. Tonight is the angriest I've been since Rafa took charge - it was nothing short of an amateurish display.

I would take a UEFA cup run over 4th place just to see how your youngsters fare against decent opposition. IF it is a UEFA cup run I am hoping Rafa will use it to see how good our youngsters are.

We were NOWHERE near as bad as some posters here make out.

25 shots away is infact rather impressive. Our conversion rate isn't. Neither was the opposition. We will win the last 3. I'm absolutely confident that we will progress to the last 16.

This bodes good for the Arsenal game. Over the years we have seen Rafa at his best on the bounce back. That will most likely happen again Sunday.

Can we qualify if we win all our games left?

3 wins will almost guarantee qualification.
The only possible way we could miss out is if:
-Marseille finish on 10 points (lose to Porto, win against Besiktas, lose to us),
-We finish on 10 points (win last 3 games)
-Porto finish on 11 points (win against Marseille, lose to us, win against Besiktas)
If we win 1-0 in Marseille, our head to head record with them would be identical, so it would come down to goal difference from all the group games. So the only way we will lose out is if Marseille have a better goal difference.
But if beat them by any score over than 1-0, thats guaranteed qualification.


2 wins and a draw in Marseille could also be enough to qualify if Marseille beat Porto.
-Marseille would finish top with atleast 11 points
-Porto would only be able to get a maximum 8 points
-We would finish on 8 points, and qualify with a better head to head record.
Only Besiktas would be able to deny us but they would have to beat both Marseille and Porto to achieve 9 points.

The point people have missed is that if Marseille get any result at Porto and we defeat Porto while they defeat Besiktas then they are already qualified before the last match where they might considering sending out a 2nd team
