      Hypothetically speaking I think it was a mistake for us to pay West Ham double what they were asking and I knew we were asking for trouble when we employed Ridsdale to do the negotiating.

              I agree - for me Rosicky is like Smicer but with a better shot on him and a bit more about him

                Is the Yossi Benayoun 'the new Luis Garcia'? (I hate that term, but I used it anyway )

                Different players, but both have the capacity to infuriate and to please in equal measure.

                Both give the ball away too much, but pop up with important goals.

                I always liked Luis as player though, and would see the advantage of having him in the team. His backflicks rarely worked, but we were a better, more exciting team with him in it IMO.

                But I just can't warm to Yossi at all. Is it because he likes 10 touches when one will do? Is it because his passing isn't that great? Is it because he is more ugly than 'lil' Luis?

                I dunno. Maybe I just don't think he is good enough for us (not that he's the only one mind).

                Any thoughts

                  Benayoun, IMO, will score more goals than Garcia in his first season at Liverpool.

                      Benayoun keeps possession far better than Luis, he's a better passer and also a better dribbler.

                      Garcia had his magical moments, but Yossi's more consistent.

                        Well he's just got his second. He takes his goals well, it has to be said. But I still prefer Luis.

                          One of the most talented players in our squad and the type a team of the supposed standard of LFC should have more odf. There's no room for players like Kuyt and Voronin if we want to be at the top. Benayoun thought is a ****ing GREAT option. I'd have him as more of a squaddie/impact player than a shoe in but this lad oozes class, a trait that is missing from FAR too many of our players.
