Yossi is no winger though. I think his best position is behind two strikers like, for example, in a 3-5-2 as the furthest forward midfielder.

      Well played Yossi!

Ideally he shouldnt get in our starting 11 (& often doesnt), but you cannot accuse him of not pulling his weight this season (even tho he only weighs 9 stone FFS), unlike a fair few of the others.
      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Why shouldnt he. Yossi is one of most talented players and the most underated player in the squad. I read in the match thread from somebody else "Yossi is playing well above his capabilities" or something similar.

He is class, he can win games with his skill on the ball, he has a right to start every game, if he he training hard and performing well

and i could see him being our player of the season

Always thought he's a very good player and I'm chuffed he's ours.

He's most effective in the Gerrard role though so tough competition.

until Aquilani is fit I'd like to see him play there with Stevie and Masher/Lucas in midfield depending on the opposition

What a bloody nice guy he seems too.

The way he said "thank you very much" to the interviewer after the game

Does anyone think that Benayoun could be our answer to cover for Torres? He seemed to be playing high up and in the middle of the pitch and did extremely well. When Torres is fit play Yossi on the wing, when he is out, put Riera on the wing and play Yossi up front.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

I don't think he has the strength to do that position. The way we play demands that the front man takes a lot of pressure and physical pushing, puling etc. What it does give is quite an effective non Torres/Gerrard with Benayoun and Kuyt or Ngog up top with less pressure on the striker to score goals.
