It is not just down to Sami alone though - our back 4 have been on and off all season.

I am more worried about Riise - WTF has happened to him. Looks distinctly average at best right now. And Finnan is on borrowed time IMO - he is out of form and I think that will be an area Rafa will strengthen come January.

I sort of know where people are coming from but I cannot bring myself to rubbish Sami in any way. I see him as the guy who single handedly rescued us from many years of watchching completely inept centre-halves.

When I think of Sami, I always remember watching Rivaldo bounce off him, in the game against Barca. Man of steel.

A pacy ball playing CB is needed in January because Carra has been **** too. Im not sure whats going on with Carra, but he has been pretty bad at times this season.

yup thought Carra was very lucky not gve a few goals/pen away last night, he was shocking. As for Sami, he can still do a job, but 2/3 games a week is too much for him. I'd still keep him about as he can always do a job when called upon, but I wouldnt want to see him a regular starter for us.

No wonder that Finnan and Carra isn't playing any good when they have to cover for Hyypia and Riise in defense. That leaves a lot of holes and players in a position they shouldn't be.
