Baptista said that he has now fulfilled his dream when he moved to Real and he has been a different player since then.

Crouch don't seem to be motivated anymore. His pre-season games was a disgrace. The other players worked their socks off and Crouch walked around the pitch like another Cisse.

I can understand if Rafa made up his mind to sell him then.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

That is why he gets paid a ridiculous amount of money, to play for LFC when called upon, not be sitting on the bench without a ****ing pair of shinpads and when asked to go on the field he has to borrow a pair from somebody else. ****ING RIDICULOUS !! He is not committed to the cause, he is committed only to furthering himself and with that attitude, Rafa is right not to play him and hopefully will get rid in January. No player is bigger than the club, even a lanky **** like him !!

And if kewellnthegang is correct about the plane bust up, which I suspect he might be, then Crouch's negative attitude is rubbing off on others in the squad, and I could almost say for certain that our captain would be one of those. If I was the captain of Liverpool FC and a spiteful player said that, I would have told him to shut his ****ing mouth or I would shut it for him. Stevie is too easily corrupted by his fellow Englishman and this divide in the squad is probably the MAIN contributor to our **** form, not Rotation or tactics like some of you believe. Team morale is a massive thing in modern football and I think Rafa needs to ship players out who are affecting the positive mentality and comararderie that his Liverpool teams have been well known for over his tenure here...
You are right he is too pally with Wazza and Terry and co.Great post Elrond and I totally agree.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro

All the hype has gone to his head in the Summer.

I wonder what happened between him and Rafa, was Crouch been to cocky and demanding to play or what....??

he is a better finisher than Voronin and Kuyt, whick isn't that hard, it's his lack of movement and pace which is the problem and he can't head the ball properly which will se him sold in the summer hopefully.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Crouch and Torres would be absolutely explosive. They would compliment eachother so much. Torres would score bagfulls with the flick ons and knocks round the corner from crouch.

This is not up for debate. It would happen. No 2 ways about it.

            Crouch = chances

            Voronin and Kuyt = 0 - 0

It really ISN'T a problem though. IMO every team should have a target man complimented with pace (Torres) for the ideal strike force.

And AF11, don't give me any **** about "slowing down our play". He is more beneficial to our play in what he can offer than someone like Cisse or Bellamy would be. And remember, we don't play like an Arsenal or Barcelona anyway and havn't done for years.

Torres needs a quick ballplayer with an eye for a pass.
Crouch has neither.Elano or Godjohnsen or even Gerrard behind him.
World class players like Torres need another World class player on the same wavelenght to partner him.

Explain? What makes you say this? It's rubbish.

No offesne but you're probably a chubby bloke who plays astro once a week and has never played footy at any sort of level hence the reason you can't see what certain players could do for a team, and generally talk tripe.

                  Again, no offense.

PS, Crouch DOES have an eye for a pass. Not a 50 yard ball but the "turns around the corner" I was on about. I've seen him slip through many a short defense splitting pass. Quickly aswell.

The quick ball players come from the midfield. Wit a player of Torres' finishing ability, if he sniffed around Crouch for knock downs, we're talking 25 + prem goals a season.

there has to be something more than pure playing ability. There has to be something more to it. I dont believe he could have fallen that far down the pecking order without doing something wrong off the football field

I hate these "Stevie is not bigger than the club", "its not Crouch FC or Stevie FC" blah blah
                        Its not Rafa FC either!!
Crouch has been treated very badly from Benitez. He was our best striker last season and now he's benched with Kuyt being ****e week in week out and playing every game.
Its clear after the Everton and Istabul games that he will go either in January or next summer. Same as Cissé, I think there is something wrong between him and Rafa.
Rafa is loosing the plot and his dressing room. Hicks comments are not good for Rafa. He's under massive pressure now. He has to challenge for the title or he will go.

We don't know what started it all and the reason to why Rafa don't pick Crouch. The whole thing could have started months ago as far as we know.

All we know is that at the end of last season and this one Rafa hasn't picked him for more or less any games at all.

                          Who knows who fault it's?

I won't blame anyone of Rafa or Crouch when it comes down who is right or wrong.

One thing I do know is that a manager must come down hard on any player that don't follow his orders or he will lose the dressing room.

IF Crouch started it then Rafa has more or less no other choice than to bench him and then sell him if he continues not doing what Rafa tells him to do.

If any other player then fells sorry for Crouch then he can feck off to another club. Rafa is the boss, no one else.

I take it from this post that you are an arrogant skinny professional footballer with no tact.

Surely it is perfectly reasonable to have a different type of partnership as the ideal than your old school big man - little man combo. For example Bergkamp and Henry they seemed to work quite well together.

I don't care who started it but if I was Crouch I would be desperate to prove a point and on Wednesday he seemed more arsed about chatting about the weather than actually getting on the pitch

You read too much into things then so.

I didn't read the last 2 lines as you're one of the people I generally ignore on football matters.

Nice touch btw putting in a reason for editing. Except it doesn't acually make sense. Here's a whooooosh in advance.
