He's at Southampton who have been doing crap in the Championship. The problem with loaning flair players to the Championship is that young players of that ilk will be the first to get pushed out of the team after a few bad results to make way for more physical players. This season Southampton seem to have collapsed as a club with a lot of infighting at board level etc. so I think it may just be bad luck rather than lack of ability in this case.Originally posted by Chrono View PostWhere is Hammil? I think the lack of competetivity in the reserve league makes in almost impossible to compare. I would say that a player who is well coached and plays regularly at league one level would be better off than one who plays only reserve football. A season 'slumming' will really bring the reality of football to these boys.
Hammill felt he should have been in the Liverpool 1st team squad, if he can't get in to Southampton's team he will realise he will need to up his game to make the grade in football and re-double/treble/quadruple his effort to get in to the LFC 1st team.We come not to play.Comment
