I think some on here think you have to cost 20 mil or be a scouser to be a good player for us.Pennant wasn`t high profile enough to deserve to play for us.crouch was the same unfortuneatly.

Now Harry is back i would like to see Kewell Xabi Masher Gerrard as our midfield. Thats a solid core there, and allows us to bring on the speed and trickery of Babel, as well as Yossi.

Pennant has played a handful of decent games for us, one or two this season, and suddenly his 'dip in form' is caused by injury?

You have to have played constantly well for more than 2 or 3 weeks to experience a dip in form.....Pennant is and will never be anything other than mediocre, but will deliver a handful of very good performances a season.

In my opinion he has played above himself in a few games and is by no means a loss. If anything I think his injury will be positive for the first team.

Hey Steve, I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this, I rate Pennant and think that there is still a lot more to come, especially considering he's only 23.

Saying that I think Yossi is better, and really hope he gets an extended run in the side.

I still think 4-2-3-1 is our best formation with Masch & Xabi behind an attacking 4 of Babel/Kewell Benyaoun Gerrard and Torres.

I do - every time I watch the game I want him to play well, and score bucket loads - as I do with every player. I want LFC to tw*t every single team they play out of sight. But my rational side and my eyes tell me what happens on the pitch is very different. He simply isn't good enough. Holding any opionion other than that in light of the evidence of my own eyes is simply delusional at best and grossly stupid at worst. I'm not going to say black's white if the evidence proves otherwise.
