surely the idea of sami playing against arse is suicidal? i still think he's a legend who can play against less mobile opposition but against wenger's crew at the moment...? when did arbeloa last play at centre half? would he be able to contain and outmuscle adebayor? we'll be defending very deep if sami plays...

We've never defended deep (unless we're being outpassed and outplayed) even with Sami in. I can't see things changing. Arsenal will be playing a counter attacking game. Is it the best option to wait and let them dictate the game this time around ? I can't see it, not at Anfield. Sami will prove his doubters wrong.

He reminds me now of Blanc when he was with the mancs sadly. One of my favoutite players ever and a Liverpool legend. He could be brilliant and he could get skint today but only time will tell.He will try his hardest and give his all and hopefully he gets a goal in the opposition end today.
At least Henry is gone so that will be an automatic lift for the defence.Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
everyone wants to know

and more or less everyone knows that it's suicidal to play Sami against Arsenal.
With Sami we must play deep against Arsenal, no other available option if we want to have a chance to win the game.
A high backline with Sami's tanker turning movement is suicidal against Arsenal's pace. They won't even need to use any special skills, just the excellent pace they have.
Play the ball 7-10 yard behind Sami and you are in a one on one with Reina if we play with a high defensive line.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

You're too negative mate. Have a wank or something.
We can't be that bad. Many people in here have been depicting us as being a class behind Manure and Arsenal and that we have players past their best or not good enough. It's simply not the case. Now is the time to get behind that team (for those going at Anfield tonight) and not get on the player's back even if we're one goal behind.
YNWA etc ... etc ...

Well, he has scored two own goals and was at fault for both Spurs goals against us.Originally posted by fredo View Post

It's not down to Sami's fault. It's a team game FFS.Originally posted by AFII View PostI'm only being realistic
