Don't panic, I haven't heard anything. Just a thought really, anyone else think he'd be decent as emergency cover at CB seeing as many have lost faith in sami's ability at the moment. We know he got a great engine, he's fast enough great in the tackle, good height on him, well built and he wouldn't be put under pressure as much to give away the dodgy passes as he does in the middle of the pitch. We don't know what his tactical ability is like, and if he'd be any good at holding a line, but seems like it might be worth a shout to me

We know he's fast, can tackle and has a good engine... the only thing is he's a tad clumsy, and I'm not sure if he's got the positional sense for it

I don't think my heart could take that much if he was to play at CB.

It's just a bit too close to the 'business end' for my liking. Keep him out in the open where he has a bit of a margin for error!

Food for thought really,i dont think thats as daft as it really sounds.The main point is his heading ability.

Heading the ball in midfield and as centre back is a little different.You have more time at centre back.

In a crisis Morph,i don't think its a bad shout.He sure can tackle.

No, as i said before not getting Heinze was a loss and not even having a plan B was a big mistake as you can see our natural left backs are pretty poor and we are short at CB.

Arbeloa has don a great job filling in at LB though, but i would like to see a natural LB come in soon

Rafa normally puts the team sheet up an hour before according to most reports.

He did play right back and people were bemused at that. However, Valencia were winning and every one shut up. He was by all reports horrible at right back. I would not trust him to clear the lines when we are under pressure. The last thing he needs for his confidence is a random ball launched high into the air when the opposition are attacking.
