Interesting...by which I mean strange...that Gerrard, Mascherano and Alonso are getting a lot of votes when we had half the possession Arsenal had.
Well thats the exact type of game Mascherano will do his best in being a holding mid so i think that explains that. The votes for gerrard are understandable given his goal and his attacking performance, he's not really a possesion player. As for the votes for Alonso i'd imagine a lot of those are down to the impact he appeared to have on our overall game.
Not really.
There is a lot going on in a match when not having the ball as well.
No need to try and undermine the opinions of others, even though they differ from yours.
I found your picks a bit surprising, but both Carra and partially Crouch I would say did well enough to be considered for the 3 slots.
Now, now. Each to their own and all that is what I say.
I thought the forwards (i.e. Kuyt, and then Crouch) had their respective work cut out for them with so little ball. I thought Kuyt (as usual) worked hard harrying them and trying to get the ball to stick when we eventually did get it...

And when I say 'play Gerrard on the left', I mean on the left
1. Mascherano......................391 votes...............5 points
2. Gerrard............................263 votes...............3 points
3. Alonso.............................126 votes...............1 point.
4. Carragher.........................123 votes...............0 although SKY had him as MOM.
All 4 sites had the top two as above, but amazingly YNWA, 6CM and TLW had Carra in 3rd. The larger 3rd placed vote on Est1892 for Xabi swung the spot in his favour.
