The less pre-season training this season

I think it's a big reason to all our tired players and probably a reason to a few of our injuries.

If you compare us to last season, back then we could press the opposition much harder for longer time in the games.

We had fitter players last season. That decision by Rafa is looking like a stupid one right now IMO. It also costed him Pako.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

If you train less in pre-season then you will get less fit players. I think everyone can agree to that.

That also means that the players can't run as much as they would with more pre-season training. Rafa said himself before the season when he talked about it that he did it so we could get a better start to the season with less tired legs the first weeks of the season.

We played better the first weeks, just as you could expect because of the less training in pre-season but after that we have looked tired at the end of the halfs.

Sorry mate but the players fitness is not an issue, thats maybe the worst excuse i've heard so far, next it'll be because the lads are drinking a different type of water after training, or they've starting running anti-clockwise round the training ground

Eh? Alot of our players came back late after last years world cup.

What makes you say they had less training this year?

              Probably because Rafa said it.

he's talking about the changes that rafa made to pre-season to make things a bit lighter on the players so they'd get off to a better start

What the **** are you talking about?

We had next to **** all pre-season because of the world cup and then qualifying for the CL in the last 2 seasons, this season is the first time we have had a normal pre season so what are you on about now?

Our players are surely fitter this season that last, never mind the injuries

Rafa said that we trained less this pre-season than before to get off to better start this season.

                      Pako didn't agree and left.

Yes, we got off to a better start the first few weeks but we have played some of our worst football the last few weeks since Rafa took charge.

So we got off to the expected good start but some of the players have looked very tired the last few weeks.

Finnan, Gerrard and Carragher for example.
