From my seat in the Away end, I thought we did well today. We matched the (current) best team in the land perfectly well until Alonso went off and then the game was anyones. It'd be harsh from that point for one team to win because when both teams went forward they looked like scoring. Obvioulsy Id've wooped and hollered in the away end had we won but all in all we played well and merited a point today. We wont play many better sides than that and we coped with them for the best part of it and with still have better players to come in.

Only watched it on the TV, but i am sure others who watched it on sky will agree with me (to an extent anyway)........Arsenal were brilliant to watch, and were the better team. They really should have won that.

but obviously there is the argument that they didnt create enough chances for their better use of possesion etc.... and we defended well.

But to be fair they really were good, not just attacking wise, but we couldnt keep the ball for more than 2 passes for most of the match.

Luckily, we are much better than this. So the gap isnt too big if we are in a good vein of form.

But overall arsenal were easily the better team i thought. Could have killed us if they had van persie etc..

See now I was in with their fans and all the ones I spoke to said how ****e Arsenal were (Eboue came in for a right slating) and how Liverpool contained them.

Signing Mascherano to a permanent deal is a must, imho.
bang on, once Xabi went off we werent able to retain and dictate play.
Xabi was immense and a good shout for man of the match along with SG and Mascher.

              I'm just some **** on a forum.

              I know my place.

But that doesn't prevent me from believing I'm right.

It's totally illogical of course. But there you go.

I'm surprised that some of their fans were having a go at them. They played pretty well today. Definitely the best side I've seen at Anfield in a long time. Eboue is ****e though. He's worse than Drogba when it comes to diving aswell.

I thought we were alot better today than some people have given us credit for though. As you rightly said we're missing quite a few good players. A fully fit Agger and Alonso would have made a big difference. Alonso, who obviously wasn't 100%, made a big difference to us today. He controlled the midfield very well and I'd go as far as saying that had he not went off we would have kept Arsenal at bay and taken the points.

A draw was a fair result though. Some people just like complaining I guess.

When they're all fit again, which hopefully isn't to long away, I'd like to see Rafa have another go at playing all three of them in the middle. It just seemed to be working quite well.

Whether we try and play two stikers or two out anout wingers in this sort of system is another matter.

As the glove said, if we play two wingers Rafa would be blamed as being negative. Where as two strikers looks more positive.

I think going with two wingers might work though.

                  I guess we'll see though.

Well, the post saved us twice and Fabregas missed an open net.

                    We got a lucky point.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

But then again Almunia saved Arsenal on more than one occasion when we were 1-0 up and they got a lucky point...

I agree,in fact like it to be our regular formation, it would good to see maybe Babel and Stevie off Torres for the next few weeks until Xabi is back.

Mascherano is fast becoming my favourite player . We need to sign him up . As for the match , there's no doubts the arse were the better side - anyone that says different is having themselves on . They passed and moved like us in the old days . Always had a free man , and were always helping each other out . We got lucky with their hitting the post and missing sitters , but we didn't fare too badly given our recent form . We need a bit of confidence and the injuries to clear up . Not sure what it is but our defence looks creaky , and not just Sami , who I thought did well . Our ever-dependables , Carra and Stevie F looked a bit lost at times , and Riise needs a kick in the arse or to be shipped out . Not sure if it's because they are trying to cover for Sami , but something's not right .
