    Torres

sorry if already been mentioned but how long will he be out for? We need him away to Blackburn else I would play Babel up top. You need pace away from home

Blackburn are ****e. We'll smack them down even if I have to play. Torres or not, we should have more than enough to beat them.

      I wouldn't say ****e exactly.
They are a decent team, I know what you said was tongue in cheek, but if we took that approach we would loose. McCarthy is one of the best strikers in the country and they are well organized with some good players. It seems playing away from home suits us this season though. This game IMO could go either way.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

        We'll take them dont worry.

Agger will be back, Crouch will play, Gerrard and Mascher are on the up, Lucas will do a job as will Yossi and Arbeloa will play in defence as well. We'll be ok. Chin up.

I'm always worried when we play Blackburn, just always feel like they can do us over.

I'd like to see the following team......

          ----------Reina-----------
          Finnan-Carra-Agger-Arbeloa
          ---------Masch------------
          Babel---Gerrard---Benayoun
          ---------Lucas------------
          -------Kuyt/Crouch--------

So would I but I doubt the rules of the game would allow it.

That was supposed to be Kuyt/Crouch

are we sure Agger will be back next week? Bloody hope so.

Hopefully Torres can recover too. One of Man Poo/Arsenal will drop points next week so we need to take advantage

if we play voronin and kuyt up front i think we'd struggle to beat anyone, least of all a high flying blackburn side away from home. i don't want to have a pop at them too much, but they're the same player, will probably get played as a partnership even though they're not, and i just can't see us doing well unless crouch gets the games he deserves to.

incidentally, the whole torres injury thing underlines for me the pointlessness of rotating your very best players. in a given season they'll miss games through injury anyhow. why increase the amount they'll inevitably miss. we lose them when they're injured, and we lose them when they're fit seems silly to me.

without torres we look seriously blunt, and crouch MUST play from now on. he made a difference against everton (his header led to the lucas penalty), and he made a difference yesterday.

a far better player than anyone gives him credit for, and a far better touch than kuyt for certain.
