When has Kuyt been abused?

See this is where I have a problem with some jobsworths on here going around looking to be offended on the behalf of others.

Also I think it's important to distinguish abuse from criticism, and personal abuse - of what there is - from frustration.

Kuyt's one example. If someone says he's "****ing ****e" and it's in reference to his footballing ability - then where's the abuse? It's an opinion. He's not slating the guy's character is he? What’s being “a classy guy” got to do with his football skills, performances for LFC?

Personally I think the people who do this, mostly do it to deflect attention from said player because they don't want to admit that said player isn't cutting it. Especially if they’ve defended that player vehemently. It's human nature, nobody likes to admit they are wrong.

The reason certain players get criticism - sorry abuse is because most likely they aren't playing well. It's the same for every player. Gerrard wasn't performing and he took a lot of stick from some, but for his performances. Nobody questioned his character or his commitment, so it was fair.

It's only a football forum after all. Far worse gets said on the terraces during the game.

Perhaps you'd be better served on Rawk where if anyone dare criticizes Rafa they are instantly hounded as a manc - if they are new - or if they are an established poster they get called a tit, prat, wool , etc, etc.

Nothing unusual in that

Problem for me is that some people are overly emotive and aggressive when expressing their negative opinions of our players/manager, and it can come out looking like embittered hatred even. Others will then be overly emotional in their defense of them. Let's face it these are our players we're talking about so it's only normal to be like that, but add the reaction and the result is we're just left with a **** slinging contest. Best way to avoid it is to stick to talking about the football.

No particular reason to bash anyone after that game I felt.

We did well for most of the game, could have been 2 up, then got pushed back and were lucky not to lose in the end.

We played Arsenal, on top form, a team with great movement and ball skills.
We are not there yet, but we will be. Believe. Rafa will shift the dross and build a better team.

It showed that we have some way to go, especially in regards of footballing quality from a few of our players, but we did take the game to them, and we probably would have won if we could have buried our chances on 1-0 to get that second vital goal.
When Alonso went out, we were ****ed, but we can at least be pleased with the commitment from our team this time.

SG looked better.
Masch was immense.
Alonso was very good.
Crouch did well when on.
Carra battled like a warrior again and saved us numerous times.
