Makes sense to play with Fowler and Kuyt up front. Fowler always scores and Kuyt is an unknown factor to them. I'd be very surprised if SG doesn't play but we'll not suffer if its Momo and Alonso with Pennant out wide. I'd rather it was SG though.

I don't like the sound of 4-4-2 with a flat midfield of Momo And Xabi in the middle. Stevie has got to play hasn't he?

We shouldn't think about Wednesday today. This is the biggest game of the season for some reds.

He's the one out of form compared to Dirk and Crouch and he's the one who wont be fresh compared to Robbie so I can see the logic in it. He did play 90mins in both Wales games (Although so did Kuyt for Holland)

Heard the same rumour on talksport. I'm not surprised. Rafa is king.

I worry that Rafa tends to have an eye on forthcoming fixtures without worrying about the most important game ahead ie the next one. Its no good peaking at christmas anymore, the title can be lost in the early days. Look at last seasons results.

This tinkering isn't the way for me. Yes it worked in the charity shield then we came a cropper against Sheffield. Players aren't going to be tired at this stage, internationals or no internationals. Crouch is red hot and needs to play.

I agree with that Bob, Crouch should start IMO. But who am I?

Why do you say Bellamy is out of form Chris?

I said he's out of form compared to Crouch and Kuyt, Crouch is on the back of 3 goals in 2 games for his Country, Kuyt 1 in 2 games and played well in the one he didnt score in while Bellamy missed a load of chances away to the Czechs. He's not playing crap but he's out of form compared to the other two + In our last League game Crouch scored and Kuyt was top quality, though Bellamy played well to.

A fan with similar feelings to myself. Call me old fashioned but you must play your strongest 11 whenever possible, its up to the other players to prove they're worth a recall. As it stands with the squad we now have for the first time with real depth, I feel rotation will be Rafa's number one option. So even if you play a blinder, bang in two you're not playing in the next. I think he's under estimating strikers, especially british ones, of which we now have 3, they thrieve on confidence.

We'll see, if we start winning then all fine and dandy, otherwise tinkerman2 could start to becoming frustrating. This is that important next stage season. Come you Reds.
