What was strange is that it looked like he was going and he was allowed to speak to other clubs before agreeing a new deal.Originally posted by The_Milkman View PostSuprised he signed a new deal in the summer tbh.
If we get a decent bid in i think Rafa will let him go, he will be going to the African Cup of Nations anyways around that time.
Agree that it might be wise to get rid in January.A humble guy with healthy desire.

Actually, one of each would be fantastic eh, oh, and a quality Striker to partner Torres as i'm still not convinced about Veroninin and KuytOriginally posted by Fan65 View PostI suggest a quality CB first, I think were papering over the cracks at the moment.24Carra Gold

I'm not sure. When he came back initially I think his passing improved - which I assume was due to him taking more care with it. Since then it has deteriated to the state it was when he arrived. I think a large part of it is not the ability to make the actual pass but the decisions made when choosing a target and the time it takes to do so.Originally posted by Shanks007 View PostAnyone else think that he may not have fully recovered from his eye injury.
That would explain his wayward passing.

It's a shame if we sell him because I think he could become better than Viera as he's still very young. His passing puzzles me sometimes because it seems to be sloppiness more than anything, but it could be down to confidence. He's not a technically poor player because he has excellent close control, so I think he should put emphasis playing more with his brain.

I doubt he could trap a bag of cement though.
Irony if there ever was one crackoff

Sissoko will never be nearly as good as Vieira because he's found wanting in an area of the game that can not improve at his age: technique.
Now while I'm not expecting him to be dribbling past defenders, it is the simple things which frustrate me about him. His passing and ball control are horrible and even when he does manage to do something positive once in a while, it never cancels out the amount of times he loses possession. If they ever kept track of this stat, he'd be topping the league table every week.
Loss of possession=> opposition attacks=> goals conceded=> bad results
There is no one else who fits the bill in our squad as surplus to requirements more than Sissoko. Lucas is better, Mascherano is better, what's the point of playing Sissoko in our line up other than giving the former two a rest?
Great signing, did its job when called upon, will be sold for a profit, but time to move on.

What?! Nearly every time he gets tackled, he falls on the ground and waits for the whistle. Sometimes he manages to keep it well, but that's more luck than anything else.Originally posted by fredo View PostHe certainly can mate, he has excellent control of the ball, that's why I'm puzzled as to why he can't pass properly.
