    hobbs

a whole **** load of ifs and buts here .......................

i dont get to see our reserves playing too often but with hobbs being promoted to the first team squad obviously rafa rates him to a certain extent.

im sure some of the local lads get a chance to see him in action and have probably followed his career so far ...... so how good really is he ???

will he get a chance tonight from the start ??

another if here, if he starts - plays well does he deserve a shout over sami???

sami is well and truly past it now, has been for some time and cant stick the pace to play 2-3 matches in a week.

so to sum it up, IF hobbs starts, IF hobbs plays well - does he deserve to get thrown in against blackburn at the weekend???? discuss

Blackburn is a massive game and I am sure Rafa will stick with Sami, but certainly Hobbs should play tonight IMO.

This is the crucial point. Sami has been unlucky with the injusy to Dagger. If it hadnt happened he would have been fine

Sami don't have the pace to play one game a week.

He is Liverpool legend but his time at the top is over. It's sad to see an excellent player play as bad as Sami has done.

A top class pro but not even a top class pro can be top class forever.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I don't think Sami has been anywhere near as bad as people make out. He does however look tired and mistakes creep into players games when that happens. We bady need either Abeloa or Hobbs to step up and take some of the weight off him until Agger returns.

Sami would be a lot more comfortable with a left back who can defend....

Right now it's Finnan covering Carra who is covering for Sami and Sami covering for Riise.

It simply don't work and leaves a lot of holes in our defense because our players gets caught out of position.

"Hobbes" was a poster on Koptalk who is on here under a different name. It was a (lame) attempt at a joke, thus I will get my coat.
