It came from a pretty reliable source up in the North East...he's been right on most transfers regarding the Geordies

Steven Taylor is leaving newcastle in transfer window, and a move to Liverpool is tipped.....

We were interested in him when Houllier was in charge and Taylor had never made an appearance for the Toon's first team - so I can well imagine this rumour being true. Our scouts have been on to him for a good while.
