If Henry is injury prone then sign me an injury prone striker that notches up 20 plus premiership goals a season consistently

I've never heard such tosh in all my life. Injury prone, and this coming from Owen's PR man

I don't want past his best strikers like Henry or Owen. If they get another bad injury then it could mean the end of the career for them.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

we signed Harry Kewell in his prime and that wasnt a raging success was it?

We signed Gary Mac in the twilight of his career and he was phenomenal

all signings are a risk.................... obviously....... but yup I would take the risk on Henry
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Well, I only think that Aguero would be a better choice. He is younger and as good as Henry and wouldn't cost that much more.

Aguero will probably in a year or two be as good as Henry was in his prime.

For me Henry is waaaaaaaaaay ahead of Michael Owen in class. I'd take the risk but for the record I don't think we'll get him while I have a whole in my arse.

Always the same with you isn't it? You should be an agent.

Well, I said even before he joined Atletico how good he is. He is already one of the best players in La Liga and he is only in his second season, and still not even 20 years old. He should have his best years infront of him.

I'm not an agent. I just post the current situation.

You're also prone to massively exaggerated extrapolations about players who are still wet behind the ears.

I think people have forgotten just exactly how good Henry is...and re-sale value? Are you in charge of the balancing the books? Who gives a flying ****?

15m in fee and 10 million in wages over 2 years is 12.5m

i'd also hazard a guess that henry and torres up front (or one or the other depending on rotation) that we would win the league in those 2 years

and to win the league would generate massive cash for us as well.

add in shirt sales and 1 probable departure for 5-10m (hopefully not crouchy) then it wouldn't be overly expensive.

so it has to be worth it. afer all we're in the business of winning trophies.

sadly i doubt it will ever happen.

and if we're talking pacey french strikers with a proven track record in england we should be looking down the road at Bolton's squad.

The rumour is that he had us as a backup option if the Barca deal had gone up in smoke.

Staying at Arsenal wasn't an option.
