He isn't playing at the same level as he performed last year, and we cannot forget that Dudek's first season was awesome, before the curse struck him?

I think as a team we are defending worse than last season. Yes Reina has had a few howlers but most keepers do. I just think that the back 5 as a unit aren't gelling well so far.

I've been dreading this with Reina but thought he was genuinely good enough to not let it happen.

the back 4 looks dodgy every time anyone has a go at them aurelios positioning leaves a lot to be desired sami is not the player he was and agger needs to get a run now even carra has made mistakes that he wouldn`t usually make finnan apart from today has been his usual reliable self and reina seems to be lacking self confidence

I think we are allowed doom and gloom at the moment, and while I didn't want us to sign Lucas Neill particularly, I do think a player like him would have helped us today.

Also, if Riise is put for sometime, we have a few problems potentially at LB, unless Warnock can really up his game consistantly, because Aurelio needs more time to adapt to the EPL.

I think Warnock needs to get a run of games now at LB if Riise's injury is longterm. We need to get back to basics with our defending. Rafa needs to pick his strongest 11, get a win under his belt and then keep that same 11 players for a consistant run of games. I don't know why Rafa did not use pre-season to tinker with his formations instead of using players that he knew were either being sold or would spend the season in the reserves!!

Unfortunately it looks like any team with a bit of pace up front can cause us problems at the moment. That long ball down the middle catches us out too.

We haven't got a settled back 4 yet this season due to injuries. We've got another 2 tough games next week and we can expect those teams to try and exploit what's happening. Our distribution from the back isn't the best either.

The internationals are messing with our preparation too (as well as other teams, I know) so with 4 weeks until the next lot I'm sure Rafa will get some worthwhile training in and can steady things up.

Sorry it's not more positive but I'm sure it can be turned around just as it was last season.

aw come on... the goals were all defensive errors. The first and second were not Reina's fault, and by the time of the third, it was beyond academic.

On a related noted, I really want them to stick it to them blue *******s at Anfield next time..
