Looking ahead to the Blackburn Game

Should be a good match on sat but a very tough one, Blackburn home or away are a very difficult side to beat. They're one of the best organised teams in the Premiership, physically strong and have silky, flair players in Bentley and Pederson and good finishers in Santa Cruz and McCarthey. Mark Hughes is a top class gaffer btw, very underrated imo.
Massive test for us, Masherano will play a key role i'm sure, defence will have to be on there game, the whole team really. More confident now that Gerrard is back in business.
This game could go either way but im confident with the right team starting (ie Crouch) and the right approach we'll beat them.

    What do you guys think?

last season we were all over these guys, should have wrapped the game up at halftime, but we didnt take our chances and they snuck a 1-0. 8 wins on the bounce for them now.

I am very confused ............... this thread is sort of sensible

please go back to being a bumbling idiot

Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

btw I think we should start with Kewell and Crouch upfront.

It's a tricky one in terms of what players to play up front and where.
Can't see Kewell playing from the start just yet. Really really want Crouch and Benayoun to start though.
Maybe Babel and Yossi wide of Crouch and a three man midfield(Lucas, Gerrard and Masher)??
          Decisions, decisions.

I pray that Rafa goes for some creativity and starts Yossi and maybe even Harry.

Dream on mate. Yossi and Kewell will not be starting together away at Blackburn. That's far too adventurous for Rafa and besides it may not be a great idea to start Kewell after he's been injured for the last 17 years.

He'll start Voronin and Kuyt, everyone will have apoplexy. but we'll win.

                  Do I get a prize?

If he starts Voronin and Kuyt I can assure you we won't win. Crouch must start as must Yossi and Babel.

They’ve won 8 on the trot. I’m very much one for the law of averages (I applied this to the Arsenal game and it bore fruit ) – the run surely can’t go on and IMO they’re unlikely to make it 9, especially against us.

However, with all of our injuries I just can’t see us winning there. You just know Rafa will pick the two headless, impotent chickens up front and I think we’ll struggle to cope with their strength and power.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yep, got 0-0 written all over it.
                        We come not to play.

i can see it now. crow, kyut, momo, riise and a recall for ruddock and a guest apperance by vinny jones in place of paco.

we should concentrate on playing football, instead rafa will go for strength and at best 0-0. If we have ANY aspirations for the title and as we are already playing catch up, regardless of the still undereated nonsense, we must win here. I'd much rather have lost to arsenal and have won all the other games that we drew against nobody midtable **** so far this season.

Blackburn have won 8 on the spin including last nights win at pompey which is impressive in anyones book.

The odds have to favour a win for them.
