    On top of your game....

...playing fantastic football all season so far, even though you're playing at the peak of your game, would you be worried/concerned that you've not pulled away from the others with the way you're playing?

The Mancs, Chavs and us to a lesser extent are still within touching distance of Arsenal even though they're playing a whole lot better than us. Plus all three have experienced bad patches also but stayed in contention.

Be interesting to see what happens when the roles are reversed and we're on the top of our game and Arsenal are struggling some what (which I'm sure will happen)

    Come on Liverpool

It's a fair point but Wenger has been in that position enough times to know how to keep things under control if/when they have a bad spell.

Remember Lehmann was ****ting points for them early in the season - they'd be further ahead now if they'd had Almunia in goal from the start.

They will have a 'proper' bad patch at some point this season - probably if Fabregas gets broken for any prolonged period of time. It's just up to us to make sure we keep winning and take the opportuniies when they come.
What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down

They've still got to play the mancs and Chav's.

All teams are getting ijuries this year bar them it seems.

The fact we're within 6 points is good but we have to keep it that.

I can see us going on a run soon Steive is finding the back of the net, Yossi looks like he can create and score. Kewell could be our Frabregras.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

            Loving the positive attitude.

I totally agree with you btw we have been ****e recently but if we win our game in hand we are 3 points behind the scum. 3 points is **** all the league is still in our hands. If we can string 5 or 6 wins together build our confidence get Xabi, Torres and Agger back then we can do it I really believe that.

We can win the league with the right signings in January and if we still are in contention then.

A new central defender is a must in January, probably also a winger and a attacking midfielder/striker.

If we don't sign a new central defender then we won't have a chance playing Carra and Hyypia for a month or two if Agger gets injured again.

The other two signing maybe can wait until the summer but a central defender is a must signing.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I agree and I think a CB will be our only signing in Jan.

Maybe it's time for Hobbs to step up and play in a couple of the premier league matches if we don't get to sign any CB in Jan?

                    Hienze was that man.

As been said maybe Hobbs, looked good last night against ex PL players. Can he carry it onto the PL in full, might be worth a go.
If Riise is off we'll need cover for Aurelio as his track record aint that good.

As for Wingers i think we need a fox in the box before we get more wide players - they cross and no ones there.

hmm, agree with both of you, as long as we stay in contention, we can make our push in feb, we do need some defensive cover at the least, I think having Harry come back is almost like having a new winger come back for us.

We've had injuries and we are still there or thereabouts. Arsenal will struggle if Fabregas get's injured but I also think they'll hit a sticky patch during the African Nations Cup, as will Chelsea. ManU are still the team to beat IMO.

If HK comes back (if only) anywhere near like he can play, it really could be our season. HK/Stevie and Torres on form will put the ****s up the opposition. Arse are still to play ManU and Chelsea I think, so they should drop points, it's a marathon not a sprint as they say. )
