An appalling performance and one that is becoming far too common under this manager.
The side that started the game was called on this site yesterday by numerous 'internet managers' , thats how predictable we are.
Team full of workhorses and grafters, 2 banks of 4, dont concede and see if we can nick one in the last 15 minutes.
A display bereft of passion, creativity or penetration - and we still should have won it.

I dont know what Rafas problem is with Crouch but it clearly goes beyond just football and its getting beyond a joke. How in Gods name the manager cant see he should be starting ahead of Kuyt just defies belief. This game was tailor made for him and within 2 minutes of him coming on we looked like a different side.
Lets all pray that Harry can stay fit because he offers us something that no-one else can who plays down that left hand side - genuine quality.

When Crouch came on, surely the right thing to do would have been Kuyt off, Babel up top to play off Crouch and give us some genuine pace up front, and Harry on the left. No, the manager takes off Yossi, a player who can make something out of nothing, and keeps Kuyt on for the full 90 yet again, when hes having a stinker, can someone tell me what this guy needs to do to actually get dropped? I dont want to rant on too much about Kuyt as there'll be enough people doing that this week, but the bottom line is he offers nothing, absolutely nothing to that side, in the first half he never made one attacking run, nor did he try to get on the shoulder of the last man when Blackburn were trying to squeeze the play. He just aint good enough and thats that.

I cant believe what im reading in this thread that people are saying a point away at Blackburn is a good result. All i can think is that all of us are being dumbed down by the abject mediocrity we are seeing week in-week out. This is Houllier all over again. Rafa does not and will not allow these players to express themselves on the pitch until the last 10 minutes, but rather employs a rigid formation that stifles any creativity or individuality within the team. The talented players we have that can win games like these for us are being used as workhorses under the banner of a team unit and it just does not work whichever way you look at it. If we had started the game the way we had finished we would have given Blackburn a good hiding yesterday is my point.

We are not even close to being title challengers, yet again. Millions spent in the close season on top quality, only to be played out of position or rested for league games and played for 90 in the Carling Cup. Many people were proclaiming what a strong squad we had at the start of the season yet a couple of injuries and we're ****ed already, Agger, Alonso and Torres are badly badly missed.

Even at this early stage, its yet another season of what might have been for me.

Rafa is doing a great ****in job - we just need to settle the **** down, stop panicing, listening to that hairy ******* keys and that mongo of an Andy Gray and give the man time.

All that springs to mind at the moment is... Drop Kuyt and play Crouch for **** sake Rafa

my sentiments exactly.

we looked a completley different side when Crouchie came on....almost as if the players pulled their fingers out to prove a point. He was winning headers, laying the ball off, and we looked pretty ****ing dangerous. Kewell also looked very good.

I dont mind Kuyt being a Liverpool player, he looked great when he first arrived. But god knows what has happened to him, he never shoots, all he does is huff and puff for 90 minutes. He is not first team material.

Give Crouch a ****ing chance Rafa!!!

If Harry stays fit and holds down a first team spot Riise will improve. It's no mistake that even Finnan has had some criticis this season because we've started playing far more different people on the right than has been the case in recent campaigns.
