That can't be good for team spirit.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Momo played for obvious defensive reasons.Originally posted by AFII View PostIf that is true and it probably is if you look at the source, then Rafa could be in big trouble
Rafa need to reward players that has played a good game with a start in the next one, every time it happens.
Houllier didn't do that, he picked his favourite players and Rafa is now doing the same thing. Kuyt, Riise and Momo are three examples. No one of them are good enough to play for us but they do that and players that have played better are benched.
Lucas should have played instead of Momo.
Aurelio should have played instead of Riise.
Crouch should have played instead of Kuyt.
I can't find one single reason to why Momo, Kuyt and Riise played today instead of Lucas, Aurelio and Crouch. Not a single one.
Kuyt played because he has more pace then Crouch and we where trying to play a quick pass and move where pace is essential.
Riise played probably because Aurelio is not ready for an intense game like the one today.
Personally I think that if Rafa says to a player " I am not subbing you because you are not doing well. I am subbing you because you are an important part of the team and you need to be fresh and fit the whole season." the players confidence does not suffer, quite the opposite.

Spot on mateOriginally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostOr rather a lack of it.
I think this is just one of many problems contributing to our woeful form.
United and Arsenal have fantastic unity, and I can't see the same in our lads. Too much bickering, sniping, shouting and bawling at each other.
Our dressing room doesn't seem unified at all. There's a lack of trust on the pitch. One or two of the senior players appear to be becoming disillusioned with the non-performers - namely Kuyt, Sissoko and Riise.
I'm worried about a split dressing room and if you've got a split dressing room, the only way is down.

I tell you what, saw MOTD tonight and what struck meabout Arsenal was that group hug they had at the end, showed a lot of unity. It s like how we were in 2000/01 when we were so storng and united against the odds. I think that unity maybe the thing which swings it for us and all the others.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostOr rather a lack of it.

By the way everyone played for each other against Arsenal and the grit and determination that we showed should prove there is no dressing room split or lack of spirit. We are just not playing well at the moment but every team goes through that.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostOr rather a lack of it.

And group hugs are gay anyway, not to mention ludicrously showy 'ooh look at us and how together we are', **** off to the showers you're not American Football players.
The whole team rushing over to congratulate every goalscorer pisses me off too, I don't mind the principle but why do they always end up posing right in front of the tv camera near the corner flag, hmmm...the Mancs, Chavs and to a lesser extent Arsenal are always at it - watch closely and you'll see certain players (step forward Fat Fwank, Dogbreath and Forgetful Rio) there after EVERY goal"the correct decision would have been a penalty for us a red card for Gattuso and a yellow for Stevie"

Team spirit is **** atm.
The players don't look together or willing to fight for one another.
Depressing stuff."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."
