Yeah he should have said that but I know Syd enough to know he does not think all scousers are racist and that's not how he meant it. I think everyone needs to take a break, log off and come back tomorrow when they have all calmed down a bit. It' not the end of the world and I really think it's stupid that we are all bickering so much.

Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea have all won the Premiership.

We, Liverpool, want to win the Premiership, but have failed to do so for how many years now?

So, rather than try and analyze where we're going wrong and perhaps look at teams that *have* succeeded for ideas, we should just bury our heads in the sand, yes?

As I've said before, I support Liverpool FC, not Rafa FC. Criticism is allowed.

This post will be ignored, because they have no valid answers to it.

The thing is that the most obvious points that unite the teams above are that they have invested very heavily in the team for at least two - three seasons at some point.

Arsenal and United have shown that stability of management and a clear vision of how you want to play football can be as important over time as the level of investment.

Chelsea show that a defensively/possession orientated team can win the league.

There are lots of things that can be learned from these clubs but a lot of them seem to be quite similar to what Rafa appears to have been doing from day one. The exception is that until now we have not been able to get the sort of efficient goal scorer that the other sides have had. We have however invested in Torres who from what we have seen has the potential to do that.

We have also like Arsenal invested in some players like Babel who may take time to learn their role in the team but we hope will add an extra dimension in the future.

I think everyone accepts that criticism and discussion is a good or at least entertaining thing. Often it is not the content but the way it is presented that people object to (on both sides of this particular debate).

the thing is, how can someone thinking a different manager would be better in charge of our team make me dislike him anymore than someone thinking rafa is the bees knees make me dislike them.

i'm sure people wouldn't react this way if discussing in person. it'd be pretty sociopathic if they did.

so come one people. a disagreement over footballing matters says nothing at all about important things like someone's sense of ethics or whether they eat babies as part of a regular satanic ritual.

Some lads at the game last night were giving the gaffer stick.

It's fine doing it on these forums, but when it's happening at the game you know the tide is starting to turn.

He HAS to go close this season. Otherwise I reckon the yanks will look at who's availble.

Hope he can turn it around but I'm losing faith with each Kuyt start and poor team peformance.
