Babel is an odd one. He has a lot of talents - pace, control and at times it appears an eye for a pass and a trick to get by a man however he doesn't at the minute seem to have the confidence or intelligence to use them at the right times.

Obviously players develop this aspect of their game as they get older - but unlike say Fabregas who at least in the attacking sense seemed to arrive in the senior team with great instincts he is not as developed. I'm the first to say that players develop at different speeds but at a big club these things are key and I hope starts to learn quickly.

I would also say that part of the problem is that we needed a fully formed creative attacking when we bought him and I think the start of this season was the wrong time to spend big money on a younger player like Babel. Even if he might have potential to be a splendid player.

What a **** thread. Babel is young and learning, as is Mohammed.

Telling them to **** off is out of order

      You should **** off
I'm sure you would have gotten rid of the avatar. I thought it was rather amusing to be honest!

Young and learning, young and learning... So what has Sissoko learnt in the last 2 seasons? I don't really see much improvement.

Babel perhaps there is a bit more there and he will get better, I do hope so.

What of the other players that were bought or brought in young and learnt something -

      Viera
      Ronaldo
      Fabregas
      Scholes
      Joe Cole
      Andy Cole

I'm willing to give Babel the benefit of the doubt with respect to being young and learning. Sissoko, on the other hand, has not improved one bit since his first season with us, and I'm convinced he's as good as he's going to get.
