We definitely need to be going into the game against the Mancs on the back of a good run.

I honestly can't believe we're just six points off the top having played pretty badly for most of the season so far.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Potentially 3 points behind the Mancs and we've yet to play them. If we can see out the next couple of winnable games without our injured players and get them back for the intense fixtures coming up after the international break then all of a sudden things aren't looking too bad

          Christmas meet up....

I'll come along. Won't this one clash with Matt Biscan's though?

I'm very optimistic, we've kept in touch with the top, have games in hand on the mancs and chelski, and know that we improve hugely in the winter and new year. We'll go on a run soon and really push for top place.

Arse are one injury (fabregas) away from stuttering. Chelski are about to lose essien, drogba and a host of other players to the africans nations cup. It's a long season and we're still well in it.

Portsmouth home 3 points is being a bit optimistic, especially considering how we're playing currently. On present form the Scum will batter us but the other results I think are fair enough.

Arsenal will also lose Toure and Adebayor, maybe some others

We will draw them all 0-0 except when we lose to Scum. Not even Kuyt's heroics as the most defensive striker since Heskey will save us there.

                  ...soz, couldnt resist.
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Seems there's a few of us still confident but we're posting in different threads. I've giving my 2p's worth in Aluns 'if we're not 2nd' thread.

Was just wondering about the players going to Africa Nation's cup.

It's all to play for and our 'dip' will hopefully be out the way
No, no, no.........I'm only scary 'cause I'm hairy

Big year for me 2008, hope it all goes well for me, oh, and you lot too!

Not as easy as all that

You`ve missed out three must win games - this Tuesday, then Porto home and Marseille away

who knows what moral will be like if we dont get through (versus the argument of just concentrating on the league)

Plus we have a rubbish international break, which albeit lets our injuried players recover, means we play Newcastle at 1245pm on Saturday when we return - Nice one FA

And of course, we have forgotten the CC game at Chelsea in December
                      We need better attacking players!

                      Torres aint enough

I seem to remember a very similar thread to this after the Derby County game.
“Hicks could have purchased Dallas’ MLS franchise but decided not to. ‘In hindsight, I probably made the wrong decision,’ he said.“.

Way we are playing at the minute I just don't fancy us.

Win the next two games, head into the International break, get Agger, Alonso and Torres fit.

Not looking any further ahead than that.

We need to actually DO it though. Talking about it means very little.

We all thought we'd beat Brum and Spurs too. Enough talking, time for action.
