Rafa is being a stubborn cock. I dont care what is going on behind the scenes or how **** or not Kuyt is - surely the point of this thread is the difference between what we have seen in the last two games - the difference in how the team has played once Crouch has come on - and the threat we posed before he came on. For Rafa to say that Crouch wasnt the difference is just stupid. Jimmy Armfield nailed it on the commentary on 5live.

the only thing kuyt is good for is my pro evo team. No idea how he got better stats than torres. maybe they researched the kuyt stats off some of the lovers on here. ffs even if some of u don't think he's **** (and i'll stand by my dutch donkey usage) then he's clearly off form. to then say it might harm his confidence if he's dropped is bollocks. bench him at least, he's costing us.

          when did he say this?

As far as I can tell he said the 3 things that made the difference were Kewell, Blackburn getting tired and Crouch.

If any other top team were leaving their best fit striker on the bench every game, and playing ****e, we'd be laughing our head off. The situation is, quite frankly, a ****ing shambles. Whatever happens off the pitch, it has to stay off the pitch and not affect results. The Crouch situation clearly has and we're looking unprofessional because of it.

But you don't know how Crouch is acting in training do you? For all you know he could be putting in ****e all effort.

Im pretty sure I remember Rafa being quoted as saying that Crouch is working hard in training - from i think last week or the week before - anyone else remember that - sorry I cant source it.

Well he is hardly likely to come out and say the opposite is he?

My point is that people seem to think they know what is going on and that it is all so simple, but they have absolutely no idea what is or isn't going on behind closed doors.

The alleged bust up must more or less be the reason to why Crouch isn't getting more playing time. I can't see any other reason but as you say, we don't know and can only speculate to why Crouch isn't picked more.

Rafa will never come out and say that because that would drop the price if we sell Crouch.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

My point is that, whatever is going on behind closed doors, it shouldn't be affecting our first team and it clearly is.
