dont know if this is the time or place but a little story on how certain players act

a few years ago liverpool had a night at the crowne plaza all the 77 team centre stage for a monday night of celebration
ray obviously in discomfort came to the bash. at the time he lived near hartlepool. jimmy case drove from brighton all the way there to collect him and bring him to liverpool.the place erupted when ray came in the room. grown men in tears.i am not afraid to say i was one of them. to see the effort by the man to enter the room never mind travel to our great city to be there was very very moving.
jimmy case was a star for going to get him.
kevin keegan who was manging city at the time had a carling cup game on the wednesday. he "couldnt make it"

Case has regularly said that Kennedy is his best mate. Reminds of a story that did the rounds many moons ago.

In 1979 we went out of the European Cup against an impressive Dinamo Tblisi side, losing 3-0 in Georgia after a 1-0 home win. The players decided to drown their sorrows in the hotel bar, becoming more and more rowdy as the night progressed. Case, in particular, took the defeat badly and, after putting away enough booze to topple a hippo, was spoiling for a fight with the entire local populace.

Kennedy sized up the situation, saw that his mate was in danger not only of a good kicking but of jeopardising his entire Liverpool career, tapped him on the shoulder, knocked him out with a sharp jab to the chin, flipped him over his shoulder and carried him off to his room to sleep it off. Paisley was none the wiser.

      A true legend.
