    Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssss

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I'll post an update after 5pm unless someone beats me to it but the reporter definately said 70,000. I'm not sure if the council have the final say but this sort of comment is very encouraging.

Hazel Blear MP? has the final say apparently, but as long as city council says GO, it should be no probs.

                    From the BBC

                    Liverpool FC stadium move granted

Liverpool Football Club's plans for a new £400m stadium have been passed.

The 60,000 capacity ground at Stanley Park has been unanimously approved by Liverpool City Council planning committee, after a five hour meeting.

The premiership club's new stadium will hold 15,000 more fans than the existing site, but that could increase to 75,000 in the future.

The plan was resubmitted to planners after American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett were unhappy with them.

Liverpool were today given the go-ahead to build their redesigned £400m (€572m) stadium in Stanley Park.

The city council’s planning committee granted permission to move the few yards from Anfield to a new home with a potential capacity of 76,000 – making it as large as Manchester United’s Old Trafford.

Liverpool’s new ground will initially hold 60,000 fans but further applications to add seats may be made.

The turf will be sunk 26ft into the ground allowing room for more supporters to be accommodated around the pitch.

Liverpool won permission for a 60,000-seater stadium in March 2006 but the club’s new American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett were unhappy with the design so planners returned to the drawing board.

The new stadium will hold 114 executive boxes – twice the number in the original design – and will regenerate neglected Stanley Park.

                          Aye, it would.

you reckon the massive cost increase is down to the hike in capacity? Including the new rail line and other infrastructure?

Also the price in steel, and the cost of borrowing due to the turmoil in the money markets.
                            Oh I don't know.
