    Another good read .....

    Torres back in training
by Alex Livie, 05 November 2007

Liverpool were handed a surprising shot in the arm on Monday when Fernando Torres returned to training.

The Spain international broke down during the draw with Arsenal at Anfield and it was forecasted that he would be sidelined for at least three weeks.

However, he pitched up at training on Monday and played a full part in the session.

Liverpool face a must-win clash with Besiktas in midweek, but it is highly unlikely Torres will feature against the Turkish outfit.

But should he report no discomfort in the muscle he aggravated against The Gunners, he could play a part for The Reds before the international break.

The Reds face Fulham on November 10, but then break away for international action before returning to league duty against Newcastle on November 24.

Take no risks. We should beat Fulham at home without him.
Better to save him for after the international break.

Why report this in the media. Better to keep it under covers. Now he'll probably end up playing for Spain during the international break.

Looks like they are looking at playing him.

IMO if Rafa is really considering playing Torres tomorrow, that says allot about what he thinks of Kuyt at the moment.

To be fair not just Kuyt but all of our other strikers are failing to look dangerous at the minute. I think that as Besiktas is such a must win game we need our very best players at least on the bench just in case.

Because we should beat Fulham at home followed by the international break, I'd be more inclined to take a risk on Torres tomorrow night if the worst that can happen is a recurrence of his current problem. If he breaks down again, then he'd have 3 weeks at Melwood to recover without going away with Spain.
