Are we missng Didi?

Didi was a genuine unsing hero in LFC's squad, an absolute lynchpin on which much of our defensive stability was based over the years. He was unappreciated by most sections of the media but LFC fans saw him for what he was - a great central midfielder. He had tremendous vision and experience and was superb at anticipating a potentially dangerous situation.
I'll never forget Istanbul, when the 2nd Milan goal went in I was lamenting Didi's absence, Kaka was running amok in Didi's area and I felt it was the reason we were falling apart. At half time Rafa brought Didi on and the rest is glorious history There have been many occasions over the years of Didi's absence from the team prompting a goal rush against us.
Momo Sissoko is an absolute gem of a player but I feel we are missing Didi.

Yep, we didn't have adequate cover and we didn't bring any in. We are missing him.

I don't actually think he would have started yesterday anyway, so yesterday would have probably been the same.

Agreed, but I don't think Rafa would have started with him, so we would have had to come from 2 down anyway.

I remember writing on KT after the FA Cup final, Didi came on and changed the game for us IMO. We were much more solid, and we were much more composed passing wise.

Momo is doing a sterling job in midfield and covers a lot of ground and breaks things up. Its our defence that has suddenly started to crack. Now Im begining to think its Agger and Carra who should be first choice. Sami is looking past it.

Absolutely agree, especially with Alonso in such a trough at the moment we really are woefully short of adequate cover in the centre of midfield

agree 100% G - we lost many a game when Ged used to "bring him off", i miss hamman as backup.

If Hamann was still a red he would have started yesterday, because he'd have been fresh - whether he'd of influenced the result is doubtful, when you look at the mistakes that cost us.

I'd rather see Zenden go to Man City and Kaiser stayed with us... He's a legend for what he has done in CL final... Kaka' was cut out totally!
