Basicall, if it happens, If we then beat Porto, we will be level on points with porto but AHEAD courtesy of head to head, with Marseille travelling to the tough Besiktas. Id they fail to win there, we can go to Marseille and have it in out own hands to actually WIN the group

If we fail to beat Marseille, we will just have to get the same result as porto and we can still qualify in second. Unless Besiktas win both, then we will need to win in marseille. But looks ****ing good presuming Porto hold onto lead tonight.

I didn't do any maths. I looked at the table they showed but yes, it seems that was the wrong table. Typical RTE. they had Marseille on 8 and Porto on 7.

Yes, if results go our way we may only need 6 or 7 (even if Porto win or draw) in some convaluted circumstances, but I'd rather not take that chance!

We could do with the other match being a draw TBH. As it stand if scores stay the same, and we beat Porto in two weeks, we'll still be behind Porto and Marseille on points.

That means we'll have to beat Marseille away which will be difficult. All we can do is try and win all three matches and see where it takes us.
