Great performance rom the team tonight. It begs the question how we lost to them two weeks ago? Anyway that's in the past and time to look forward. The result in Porto done us no favours but if we win all our games we're through and if we play as well as we did tonight with the passing and movement etc... it's hard to imaging that we wont.

I assume the one outfield player who who can't is Riise?

Sadly Rafa is likely to do this. Kuyt could have come on today to get a goal to get his confidence up?

Agree totally assuming Torres is fit. I like Aurelio at left back too. Keeps the ball on the deck. Take note JAR

Once Agger and Alonso are back we will forget how **** we have been playing and start lauding Rafa for his tactics which, although have been ugly, have kept us in contention for the league.

This could be the start of something big. You have to fancy us for qualification, and thisll be the boost we needed for our league campaign....Dare I say Quadruple?

Benny and The Crow were fantastic with their assists tonight. Kewell in for JAR and Crouchie and Torres up top or Babel against Fulham would do me.

Can I just add.... THAT is how to finish a team off.

great result and long may things continue to go our way. They were **** though.

I don't rate Babel on the left but he looked far more comfortable up front. Voronin is a better second striker than Kyut ever will be. How Yossi has been overlooked for the wannabe hardman pennant i'll never know.

Arebeloa and Aurelio were excellent attacking fullbacks, and with fabio we have someone that can actually take a corner.

Crouch proved a point not that it will make any difference with Rafa and i honestly think we'll compete for the title if kewell can stay fit.

Gerrard and Masch were perfect in the middle together. Did you see Masch's crossfield pass for the last goal - momo could only dream of doing that.

I'd love to see us play the same team on Saturday with Torres replacing Voronin and Kewell for Riise.

As far as I'm concerned the likes of Kuyt, Pennant & Momo are liabilities and should only be brought in once we are cohesive, consistant and confident. Only then can they be absorbed into the team and their game will improve. Too early and we will suffer.

Please Rafa its there for us to reach out and grasp.

It may be there ....but we need reinforcements coming over the hill...and quick. Great win tonight, but we could still be out of the title race and CL by the end of Nov if we don't kick on from here.

                          Several comments to make:

Fullbacks - what a difference it makes to play with 2 fullbacks who are confident going forward, who can control and pass a ball, make a pass into space at the right time, put in peaches of crosses (in Aurelio's case) and defend as well. Dww has been on about this for ages - there for all to see tonight.

Attitude - spot on - no resting on laurels when 2 or 3 up. Hunger. Always pressing for the next goal - dare I say it - almost Scum like in their attacking intent and desire. I hope this breeds confidence and the desire to do this against the poorer PL opposition.

Does anyone out there still think Rafa can't coach positive attacking football?

Besiktas were piss no doubt, but we didnt just beat them, we annihalated them.

Benayoun - showed how to play that wide right position - not as an out and out winger but as a player who knows when to come inside and to be able to play the right balls at the right times and take up threatening positions at appropriate times.

Babel - stick the lad up front and let him develop his game there. He has searing pace when up against the last man so he can use it.

Kewell - great to see him back, I really hope for him, the team and us he can stay fit.

Voronin - showed when on song how much of a player (Sheringham esq) he can be. Great set up for SG's goal.

Crouch - showed he is getting his form of last year back so perhaps now he will feature more. I think he knits us into a much better attacking unit than anyone else we have (including Torres, who is far more of a goal threat, but I think Crouch brings so many more players (esp SG) into play more so far).

Alll in all can't ask for anymore. Great performance, tempo, passion, accurate passing and lethal finishing. Magic.

i experienced centreback. 1 world class winger.

i'm hoping for quality not quantity.

They are a **** team and didn't want to know in the 2nd half - a win is a win though and hopefully it puts doubt into the mind of Fulham and they come to Anfield very afraid
