1) The game this evening showed that the team can play well. The passing was crisp and there was good attacking flair. If it had been Arsenal everyone would be saying how good they are, when we do it, it is because the opposition are rubbish Tonight's performance could really kick start our season

2) Torres is approaching fitness

3 Alonso is approaching fitness

4) Agger is approaching fitness

5) Despite injuries and poor form we are unbeaten in the league and a good run of victories will see us in a position to challenge for honours at the end of the season

6) Gerrard is starting to show some of his best form

7) Rafa is going to strengthen the squad further in January

8) We are the come back kings in Europe so there is every chance we'll pull off qualification - on the strength of tonight's performance you'd have to say there is every chance of that
