We're extremely fortunate that we have had great days out at places like Cardiff, Istanbul and Dortmund with regular trips to the Continent to support our boys. Smaller clubs never get this so following England (or Wales, etc) is the nearest they'll get to being a part of something "special".

Personally, I don't give a **** about England (or any other country) and if somebody asks me my nationality I always say "Scouse". I even had a genuine Scouse Passport back in the 80s and carried it everywhere with me!

    I cpmpletely agree with this.

All the mental England fans don't support big clubs.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I wouldn't worry about it bazza! I think he just plucked a date from the 19th century to illustrate the point that Liverpool fans have always put their club before their country...

Admittedly it would have been better to have put 1892 but hey ho...

It's different here in Australia. Country always comes first, in sport and many other things. I'll admit that I'd rather see Australia win the World Cup than Liverpool win the Premiership. That's just the way us Aussies think.
