Quite the contrary. Like all players who had two years left on his contract he was offered an extension but, unlike his team-mates, he is dragging his feet on signing. It wouldn't surprise me if he's being frozen out because of his attitude. His value will plummet by the star of next season if he still refuses to sign.

i don't agree with that statement, i don't want to knock him for last night as he did well, but allot of other players really brought it last night...

the only thing i have against him is that he is very much hit and miss, i thought he was **** against cardiff for example, and his best effort on goal was a long range shot. if he would head all the balls like he did last night i wouldn't have a problem with him. he commes to deep for me, almost as he wants to play second striker, but he's not quick enough to play that role, same goes with being front man, he's not fast enough to run the line. he seems to be at his best when he has the ball on his feet out side the box, and frankly i think we can get better players to do that. but then again every now and then he surprises everyone and works his magic. i love the bloke, and really wish that he would make it, but i think it's bit above his level...

what in the one game he started at portsmouth? or the 5 minutes he got against chelsea? he also scored against toulouse. I think Torres hit a hat trick alongside him in his other start.

that is a very strange comment. but there have been loads of slow players playing in this role, i know. Daglish and bergkamp but my lord did they have a whole lot more to offer than crouch, what they lacked in speed they made up with vision, passing skills, quick feet, and quick thinking, crouch isn't great in any of those areas. not only is he slow, but his physical nature prevents him from being quick at anything, turnarounds, getting the ball under control, his ball control is good especially for a man of his size, but it can be real slow. he often reads the game poorly and gets in bad positions, i lost count on how many times, he misread gerrard, garcia, bellamy, and even alonso, when he couldn't see the passes comming, or wasn't in the space, or had misplaced a pass do to not reading to other players runs. all i'm saying is that if crouches best position is in the hole, with the ball on his feet, he could be replaced by a much better player, he simply doesn't have the physical nor the mental atributes to play that role...

As I said in a previous post, I think he been off the boil all season. I also said there is a possibility that Rafa noticed something in training leading to his omissions. Can you not entertain that possibility?
Do you seriously believe that how a player trains is irrelevant to his selection, even when Rafa and his backroom staff have contended otherwise?

But he's found his form and his confidence, so NOW he should play v Fulham.

Crouch is just Crouch. He is a handful. He links plays superbly at times. Is very hit & mis at scoring with his head. Great worker. Great eye for a goal. Not the quickest. He isn't trying to be Dalglish he's just Crouch and I wouldn't swop him for anyone.

He didn't exactly work his socks off in the pre-season games. When the other players did that he just walked around the pitch and looked very uninterested.

For some reason I don't think Rafa liked that attitude at all.
