    The Madness of King Kenny

Was watching LFC TV last night and Aldo was on. The topic of his move to Real Sociedad was brought up and Aldo said as he'd scored 31 goals the season before, he thought he'd be given a fairer crack of the whip for the new season; but it wasn't to be.

What we'd do these days for a 31 goal a season striker!!! It seems madness to sell a striker with a record like that.

Anyway - that's it really. It was something I'd forgotten about but was mildly surprised when it was brought up last night.

    H

PS Also - who was the other lad on the show with Aldo? His name was Peter something or other.
    Liverpool born and bred.

Peter Hooten (sp) something like that he's a musician.

Did you see 60 mins with Molby? I ****ing love that man. He was such a pure footballer and still takes the piss when he plays for the reds in masters football.

The John Barnes show was good as well. Didi

Aldo's number was up as soon as Rushie came back unfortunately. There was no rotation in those days. Imagine having 3 strikers of the calibre of Aldo, Rushie and Beardsley today?!?

If we had Barnes on the left as well we'd win the lot.

Didn't see the 60 mins with Molby but saw him on the John Barnes show and he was excellent. Same old Jan, nothing fazed him and took everything in his stride - one of my favourite players ever

Remember seeing an interview with him when Cantona had been with Utd only a couple of years. Some smart ass interviewer was putting it to him that he was the most successful foreigner to play in England and hee simply replied "well tell him to put his medals on the table and I'll put mine and we'll see who's the most successful foreigner" - stopped him dead in his tracks
At a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly

****, missed the barnes show, when was did on? will it be repeated?.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

              * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Beardo wasn't an out and out striker though. He was a genius in creating chances though and yes, he scored a few of them too.
