Ian Rush's reckons we can take the Besiktas form into the Prem....

Ian Rush's reckons we can take the Besiktas form into the Prem and destroy teams there as we did against Besiktas.

Whilst I love Rushy to bits I'd sooner not hype up our result too much too soon until we actually see the kind of performance in the Prem that we showed Besiktas.

    Can't fault his support though

Ian Rush reckons if you don’t drink milk you’ll only be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Rushy was a great player but as a analyst he is wank. He is always way too positive about our players and team.

A lot of you may not consider this a bad thing but his views are so biased towards us it is bordering on insulting my intelligence.

Is he far from the truth? We absolutely hammered Derby while we were on form at the start of the season and that was with all the new players still trying to gel together. I think there will be a few more teams hammered this season at Anfield.

Derby are by far the worst team in the division though. I don't think there are many teams who would be so comprehensively taken apart. I will go with you that I think we are capable of bringing the attacking intent into the PL and becoming a team others fear. I think that our performances have lacked more than anything conviction and confidence in the final third and a thrashing of any team in a major competition is teh best cure for that.

Although our performance was top notch on Tue, Besiktas are pretty poor side (about Derby's level), I don't think we'll see too many of these type of results in the prem. I'll be happy with a few wins.

Wouldn't say they're derby's level. They're currently 4 pts off the top of the Turkish league . Yes, it may not be the strongest league in the world but hey, they're still better than derby.

Anyway, let's **** Fulham on saturday

Aurelio in the Echo has said we should forget the Besiktas game. I agree, take the positives however I might be of the opinion Rafa doesn't like giving teams massive drubbings. Yes, once in a while it is good but when we do, some of the players get big headed and teams playing against us get even more defensive.

I'm probably going to get a pasting.

As long as we all drink our milk I don't see why we can't carry our form into the Fulham game.

Obviously we're not going to knock eight past Fulham but the performance we should certainly perform with more confidence, cohesion and conviction.

No, Rushy is correct, we could take that performance into the prem, however, we wont.... Fulham will sit 10 men behind the ball, and we will be clueless just like against Brum
