    To discard sami as 1st choice is a nonsense in my view. Lets face it, it was Carra & not Sami who was at fault against EFC.

    Agger has looked decent but no more than that whist Sami is tried & tested & is as good as ever. Sure he lacks pace but he always has done.
    People have gone OTT on Agger as well. a couple of decent performances & a brilliant goal & people thinks he's the new Hansen, well he isn't.

    Aggers time will come, but for me that time is not yet.

      Agger offers us creativity from the back, he is not afraid to bring the ball forward, instead of hoofing it upfield.

      Its no coincidence that we seem to look better in attack when Agger plays....he draws players towards him, thus opening up room for our midfielders to exploit. Hyypia just kicks it to the first person he sees, opposition midfileders know he will do this....so they just sit back and let him. All the while clogging up the center of midfiled, making it harder for us to create "easy" chances.

        Theres been question marks against Sami for a few seasons, yet he has always responded by answering them beyond doubt. Don't write him off just yet.

          Sami was fine defensively! Although Johnson did turn him a few times very easily.
          Attacking wise he is woeful....take the blinkers from your eyes buddy. Agger is the way forward.

          Sami is one of my favourite players, id love it if he proved me wrong...but he wont.

            Agger shouldn't start instead of Hyypia on current form.

            Sami has been there done it, bought the T-shirt. Agger looks like an excellent prospect, but let's not forget he's still very, very young.

              Agger is ready, he has played very well for Denmark on numerous occasions. He has also played very well for us on each occasion. Sami still has alot to offer us. But IMO Agger offers us more. He can actually use the ball, instead of the Hyypia hoof that we have become accustomed to over the years.

                    I've seen plenty of deftness and calm decision making in tight defensive areas from Sami over the years. It certainly hasn't all been hoof ball.
