    On Nov 9th 2004 one of the clubs most successful captains ever passed away prematurely.

    As a few on here already know I have written to the club asking them for their support in attempting to combat the awful disease which took his life.

        YNWA 3 years already??? That has flown past.
        I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

                  I had such huge affection for him as a kid - mainly from the LFC videos I had on which he featured heavily (before my time, sadly ) and, of course, A Question of Sport.

                    For someone like me growing up in the 80s I'll always remember him more for being one of the team captains on Question of Sport.

                            P.S. As an aside, anyone remember that awful sports quiz he quit Question of Sport to do on ITV? That Nick Owen was the presenter and I can't remember the name of the show. Doing my head in now.
