Saturday is a blur for me but I can't remember our strikers having many chances created for them. Fowler and crouch had feck all chances and Kuyt created a couple of half decent chances himself.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquintPennant's final ball tonight was poor. Plus we lacked creativity from the centre of midfield by playing both Bolo and Momo.
Bellamy and Kuyt did link up well. Kuyt dropping off the front was very impressive in possesion, good passing and vision. Great workrate.
Still not convinced that Bellamy is that quick goalgetter we need. He looked afraid to take his man on tonight.
I don't agree with you that our strikers don't get enough chances. At the weekend for example we had plenty off efforts, we just didn't take them.

I didn't think we were that bad tonight, and should/would have won it with that Gerrard shot at the end. Agger and Kuyt look to be the genuine articles to me, Warnock was solid, really only Pennant was particularly below par....I could not dig, I dared not rob:

What tale shall serve me here among

I think we need to go to 3-5-2
Riise/Aurelio/Gonzo left wingback
Finnan right wingback
Momo and Xabi in the centre with Gerrard pushing on
2 strikers, take your pick
Agger, Carra and Sami at the back.rnm is funny, funny like funny haha.
Goals 2006/7 (CS, PL, CL)
1: Agger, Bellamy, Fowler, Alonso, Garcia
2: Gonzalez, Kuyt, Riise
5: Crouch

Most of them fell to Gerrard admittedly, and we did go too direct during that match, and with no pace up front that doesn't work for us. Those cuntmother****er rats packed the midfield and we never got it down and passed it.Originally posted by desertscouserSaturday is a blur for me but I can't remember our strikers having many chances created for them. I still say play Crouch as the front man, Kuyt alongside him dropping off deep with pace on the flanks; Gonzalez left, and Pennant or Gerrard on the right if Momo and Alonso are playing. With Garcia and Bellamy coming off the bench if we need a goal.
I know Rafa likes to rotate, by a bit of continuity couldn't do any harm.I hate Polanski
