Whoa - slow down lads, it was only Fulham; who IMO will be relegated.

The most important thing is the team look confident. They are trying stuff, being creative, working their patterns. This shows belief and confidence in their ability. Too often this season we have gone through the motions. The rot has been stopped. I can see us really having a go now irrespective of the fact it was only Fulham. The team is starting to walk tall and that can only be a good thing.

some spot on comments here. The Marsielles game was a low point for us and since then inch by inch, game by game we've clawed our way back to where we are now. Still a long way to go this season, but after going back to basics and fighting for our lives we are starting to play with some confidence and swagger. AND we have Agger and Xabi to come back. Babel and Yossi are looking more integrated, Harry and Torres are back. Here's to carrying it on for the rest of the season.

also want to add that the goal Torres scored against Spurs in the last min was a real big point for us, if we'd lost to that **** Spurs slide then who knows where we would have gone.

Agreed, although i thought the confidence was draining a bit the longer we went without scoring, frustration creeping in a bit as well which is to be expected.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostThe most important thing is the team look confident. I've backed rafa and the team all the way this season.I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

clear daylight?Originally posted by Parm View Postindeed, beat the mancs win the game in hand and there is clear daylight between us and them, gives us a huge basis to build from
they play a load of dross(fulham and derby at home + bolton away) before they come to us so thats a nailed on 9 pts for them and theyre already 6 pts clear
win our game in hand, reduce it to 3, and if we beat them at anfield we'll most likely be level on points should we both win all our games up to then, united will most likely do that, we have reading and newcastle away to go with bolton at home, newcastle away will be tough, right after a international break and i wont be shocked if we lose or draw that one

I heard on the radio yesterday that if the table was made up of results at half time, fulham would be top.Originally posted by scouse lad View PostLove it, ten minutes later and no goals your post would of been all different. Just goes to show the score at 90 mins is all that counts.Oh I don't know.

if we are still within 3 points of the mancs by christmas i think we have a real shot at the title.
the real trick is not ending up 8 or 9 points behind by thendrunk knows best

We're inching our way back towards playing the football that any hopes of a title challenge would demand.
The fine line comment at the start of the thread is apt. We were ten minutes, one long ball and a moment of genius away from yet another frustrating 0-0 against distinctly average opposition, to go along with the result against woeful Brum and the near squeak against a ****e Wigan.
I think the colour is slowly, slowly coming back into our cheeks but it's way way too early to be thinking we're over the worst. If Fulham were at Ole Toilet next week they'd be 3-0 down before the full crowd was in, we are a long way away from that standard. Hopefully we will stay right in touch and click in time to start chasing really hard. Torres staying fit along with Kewell, and Rafa committing more to attack earlier in games, we could just hang in there and go close to really set us up for a proper tilt next season.
I just don't think we have enough attacking power at the moment.

actually noOriginally posted by breffniboy View PostThe fine line comment at the start of the thread is apt. We were ten minutes, one long ball and a moment of genius away from yet another frustrating 0-0 against distinctly average opposition,
we were one benayoun tap in away from a very comfortable last 40 mins
progressm for the current lfc sidem lies, not in scoring a wonder goal or a moment of magic - but simply in converting one of the several bread and butter chances we make every gamedrunk knows best
