If anything, todays line up vindicates rotation.
Rafa was under ultra media pressure to play Crouch today, then you get knobheads like Alan Greene moaning why he didn't play Torres from the start. Beggars belief sometimes.
Yeah no one knows who's gonna play each match, but in my mind that's a good thing. Several reasons...
1/ Opposition don't know who they'll be facing.
2/ Players are kept in the dark, keeps up level of competition within the squad.
We have our favorites and villains, but non of us here have to keep them all taut for selection.
If a player is pissed off for being subbed, great. If a player is pissed off for not getting first eleven placing, great. Too many times has complacency set into a Liverpool side over the last decade or so. I can't tell you how glad I was to see the back of Danny Murphy, he epitomised complacency within Houllier's tenure. There have been plenty of others over the years. It's about time we have competition for first eleven places. Non of this "I've arrived attitude".
Nope, Benitez can carry on doing what he's been doing. I don't care that I don't know what the squad will be, because a/ the squad won't, and b/ the opposition sure as hell won't either.
So to be honest, I think a fair few should sit back and watch how players are being molded into a system. A machine if you like. Some will make it, a lot won't. And it's long over due seeing a profit from those that don't.
These are good times. Enjoy it. Bumps 'n all.

How does it up the level of competition? What do the players think? "I might not be playing, so if i do, i'd better play well so i keep my place" ?
Clearly not, given the nature of rotation...

Form is not the main factor to Rafa IMO. It's who can do the job against the team in question whereas other managers will always pick a palyer if hes playing great. I personally agree with Rafa, get the players out who can do the job and it's a toss up between 2 or 3 for the one position and role to play then you look at their form
I dont think I spelt anything wrong in that
Contrary to popular belief, I have huge genitals.
