Which is a pointless hypothesis, as rotating against the likes of Birmingham means we won'tOriginally posted by Pacman View PostRubbish if we win the league this season the papers will still be banging on about Rafa and rotation.
And if we do win the league, the papers would be saying rotation is the way to win the league and asking if teams that don't have the depth of our squad can ever be successful again.
You're talking bollox mate, to be fair. If we were top of the league, Rafa would get precisely no **** at all for rotating his players.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Nah I'm not talking bollocks Rafa is always going to be pigeon holed in certain boxes no matter what happens. Charlie Nicholas was on sky the other day and called him a fool and all the other pundits just laughed. He may not have won the league but he's won a fair bit with both Liverpool and Valencia. I bet Rafa couldn't give a **** what the press say so it's a pointless discussion. He's got his way some may like it some may not but he's going to carry on regardless of what the media say.Originally posted by Operation View PostWhich is a pointless hypothesis, as rotating against the likes of Birmingham means we won't

Didn't know you could come up with an intelligent analysis such as that.Originally posted by Pacman View PostNah I'm not talking bollocks Rafa is always going to be pigeon holed in certain boxes no matter what happens. Fergie got slated before he won the league for Man. Utd. For 7 years he was 'clueless'. He was obdurate enough and look where they are now.

I'm not being paranoid mate I couldn't give a **** what the papers say about Rafa.Originally posted by DJS View PostNo they wont.
Unless it's to say "Well he was proved right"...
Stop being so paranoid. They're NOT 'out to get us'.
I couldn't careless if they were calling him the worst manager in the world or the best manager in the world I have my own opinion of him and to me that's all that matters.
I just think that Rafa has been labelled certain things by the press that it's going to be difficult for him to shake off. I don't give a two ****s and I bet Rafa doesn't either.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

He's been labelled as someone who rotates too much to maintain the consistency required to win the title - and thus far, the evidence proves that view correct.Originally posted by Pacman View PostI'm not being paranoid mate I couldn't give a **** what the papers say about Rafa.

If he wins it, he'll have proven it wrong and the press will say so.

sorry mate, that's a theory. just because we haven't won the league does not prove the point that it was down to rotation.Originally posted by DJS View PostHe's been labelled as someone who rotates too much to maintain the consistency required to win the title - and thus far, the evidence proves that view correct.

You really think the press will admit they were wrong?
They will change what they say to either "despite Rafas rotation" or simply not acknowledge their criticism. Exactly as happens when we start doing well and zonal marking/rotation are no longer mentioned.
I think that winning the league will change the tone and content of coverage about us but I think you are being exceptionally naive if you believe there would be a sudden out pouring of contrition from journos."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

It's nigh on impossible to actually prove it.Originally posted by fred_plasticine View Postsorry mate, that's a theory. just because we haven't won the league does not prove the point that it was down to rotation.
But the fact is, thus far, Rafa's way of doing it HASNT won the league.
Rotation is a factor, along with several others.
