    They shoot, horses, don't they?
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

If or When he leaves it will force Paul S to change the banner, SuperDan better get working!
          We come not to play.

I think Paul S`s banner has a curse on it.
All three players in it are now linked with moves away from the club.

              Obviously no.

But he's a decent footballer, not as ****e as people make out of him. We can / must find much better left backs for sure.

For someone apparently so poor, Riise has played almost as many games as anyone under Benitez. We'd be foolish to let him go unless we bring in someone better. Aurelio is ok but hardly justifies getting rid of Riise.
I can't see us letting him go to be honest. There are other areas of the team that need to be improved first ie centre backs, wingers and forwards.

He is good at talking bollocks, is Riise:

“I’m my own biggest critic and I know when I haven’t performed well.

“Now I think I’m getting my sharpness back and hopefully returning to my real level.”

                      Sharpness returning?
The last 2-3 games he has been worse than earlier this season.

I actually agree with him. Only two matches ago he managed a previously thought impossible cross into the box. His movement has been good since the Everton game IMO. His short passing is never going to be slick but he is making better decisions of late as well.

He is a limited player but he is versatile and capable of being a very useful member of our squad. He still needs to improve his form but I am of the opinion that there are good signs - as I think there have been for a lot of players in the Blackburn game and since.

This is one of the main flaws in his game.

Sorry, I am not with you on this one.
Maybe I am biased since I don't rate him at all, but so be it.

                            Stamina, yes.
                            Never injured, yes.
Shoots like a horse, yes. Rarely hits the target though.
                            Works all day, yes.
                            Long throw ins, yes.

                            That is about it though.
For the sake of JAR I will not go into his weaknesses.

Squad player, yes, but too limited a footballer.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Damn you Riise, sabotaging our attempts to get a fee for your worthless ass

Ok he's not that bad, he'd make a decent squad player but there's no way I'd have him starting the majority of games by choice
