    Reserves v Blackburn

Liverpool have named a young reserve team for tonight's clash against Blackburn Rovers, which you can watch live on LFC TV from 6.45pm.
The game gets underway at 7pm so if you're not going to the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington to watch our potential stars of tomorrow in action, then make sure you follow the game live on the club's TV channel.

Former reserve star John Durnin will be providing expert analysis in the studio while David Fairclough will be part of our commentary team alongside Steve Hunter at the stadium.

Whether you're going to the match or tuning into our live coverage, this is the team you'll be seeing in action:

    1. David Martin
    2. Stephen Darby
    3. Emiliano Insua
    4. Jack Hobbs (Captain)
    5. Ronald Huth
    6. Damien Plessis
    7. Ray Putterill
    8. Mikel San Jose Dominguez
    9. Jordy Brouwer
    10. Jay Spearing
    11. Sebastian Leto

    Subs:

    12. Daniel Pacheco
    13. Peter Gulacsi
    14. Martin Kelly
    15. Daniel Ayala
    16. Gerardo Bruna

    --------------------------------------------------------

It annoys me that Brouwer who imo is cack gets into the team ahead of Pacheco who has shown great potential! Anyways should be good to see some of the young un's get a run out

Interesting side. Playing what looks like 3 holding midfielders in Plessis Spearing and San Jose. Interesting to see Pachecho and Bruna on the bench for the ressies, I was under the impression they were both u18 bound for the near future.

        San Jose is a CB.

Hobbs has played in midfield regulary for the reserves....

It's nice to see that you've already made a scapegoat of this lad Brouwer. In the game against Newcastle when he came on in the second half he looked very bright indeed and scored a goal, which turned out to be the winner.

He also was a tit and basically substituted himself after getting a little kick in that game.

He imo just doesn't have what it takes to make the step up, no wonder Ajax were shocked when we signed him.

Do we see anything yet in Leto to inspire hope for the future? What are his strengths?
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

                      2 questions:

                      1. Is Martin Kelly Oirish?

                      2. Is Daniel ayala related to the legend Ayala?

Have to say I agree with your comments about Brouwer, although would have put it a little more diplomatically myself

Don't see anything in Brouwer that makes me think he has enough to make it, on the other hand Pacheco looks the dog's b#ll#x and I am looking forward to seeing him making the step up from U-18s - lots of young lads recruited but I really think he's got a fantastic future ahead of him

I would like to see Bruna, Ayala and Pacheco come off the bench so we can have a proper look at them.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
