Thanjk you.

We are owned by 2 yanks, managed by a Spanish bloke and have more foreign players than English players yet he would be happy for the FA to turn round and say 'sorry boys but you've got to sell Torres, Alonso, Reina, Agger, Arbeloa, Babel. Yossi and Lucas because England are **** and we can't qualify for a major championship'.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
Gerrard would be payed less than the £120k/week he earns now if it wasn't for the number of foreigners playing in the PL.
I wonder if he would be prepared to take a pay cut to allow more english players a chance to play. I doubt that myself.

seriously , do ya think the law will come in today ???
Maybe not but what about all the work Rafa and the boys have done recruiting the best young talent from around the globe? If you cut foreigners the PL would become weaker and then the sponsors would dry up therefore there isn't as much money and he'd probably **** off to Spain.
No, lets rename him instead.....Gerrardinho sounds nice

the thing is england are so far away from qualifying for a comp, let alone win it. so why not bring in the quotas so we can qualify? whats the point? (other than keeping money coming in for the FA so they can pay for wembley)
when you look at the list of english players we have sold in the past 5 years, short of owen and fowler, none of them are good enough for a title challenging side.
so what would you rather do stevie? qualify for a major comp with england, then getting knocked out by the first decent team you meet, or winning the league with liverpool, reina, xabi, torres et al?
i do think he gets a bit full of himself when the while national media start sucking him off on england duty. when of course the truth is he has never come close to replicating even his better than average liverpool form in an england shirt
"At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"

This whole quota thing is just a red herring. We're not developing our players to the level of technique required to compete with the best in the world.
The real hard questions.
How the hell did it take 3 years to work out that SG and Lampard couldn't play together?
Why the hell did we try and play 352 with a team that's tactical awareness and game intelligence is subterranean?
Why not play the best players for a role not the big names. e.g. Crouch and Rooney vs. Rooney and Owen?
All england need is a coach with a brain and decent sized gonads.

"When I join up with England these games are bigger than Champions League games or league games," said. "You're representing your country. If you go to a major tournament and play well or achieve something as a team it's going to be a lot bigger than achieving something at your club."
This sort of talk will exasperate Benítez when Liverpool are struggling in their Champions League group. The club's owners might find such views toxic and Anfield fans could have different aims from Gerrard. He will not budge. "Maybe that is supporters being selfish," he said, "but as a player you want to play in the biggest games. Those are European [Championship] games and World Cup games."
Think he's playing with fire a bit there personally.
"My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.
