i think that he shouldn't be captain of the club. i don't rate him as a captain. after the chelsea thing he should have never been allowed to stay on as captain but fair play to him because he offered to lay it down. comments like the one this thread is about are a poor by any means, especially for the captain of this club. it's the way he talks about his football and his role for club and country that i don't really like ... i rate him as a footballer though but i don't believe the hype

The thing is though, he is actually a living legend and will go down in our history as that. As much as I agree with a lot of the sentiment expressed on here.

If he's comments had been said by someone like fat frank or gary neville we'd all be taking the piss. He's the captain of our team and i would not like to be in the dressing room when he gets back.

As for the england debate this foreign player **** is a scapegoat. we appointed a **** manager that is on the brink of failing to qualify in a weak group with the best squad we've had since the early 70's. How we can blame it on foreign players is beyond me. We wanted a english manager regardless of whether he was good enough. Can't wait to get knocked out and see that **** get sacked.
