i would welcome it, but wouldnt read to much into it. Sure if Sammy rang up and asked to go along Rafa would not have said no. Perhaps he is just doing a bit of job shadowing , just like Rafa did with Fergie****

I heard he's more open reg. returning to football nowadays? It'd be great to have Little Lee and GaryMac back.
Jesus Quintana: You ready to be ****ed, man? I see you rolled your way into the semis. Dios mio, man. Liam and me, we're gonna **** you up

The Dude: Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man

Think it would only be short term though, Gary Mac is always been linked with manager jobs.

typical media type article putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5

Sammy Lee is set for a return to Liverpool......
....could be offered the chance of a return.

you can see the difference just in these two lines, any idiot could guess that's why Sammy was there, they know no better than the rest of us

although sammy lee is a liverpool legend i dont want him to return in a coaching or assistant role.

i think better left how he left.....with his respect. to return now as a coach would be a step down personally for him. sammy will make a good manager on his own at the right club for him.

on the same topic (sort of) anybody see the Didi Hamann interview on LFCTV?
i have so much respect for that man and that interview brought back great admiration for him. when asked if he could ever imagine returning to liverpool one day as a coach or manager or some other capacity he replied that he didn't think it would happen but to "never say never in football". i know he is only 35ish(?) and still playing, but i would seriously look into getting him his coaching badges and employing him to the staff at LFC. The man oozes confidence, would be a great motivator (something i beleive we have missed since paco left) and more importantly i beleive he would be a great help in helping the likes of mascherano and sissoko develope as players plus he could give xabi pointers on how to be a bit better defensively to allow gerard even more freedom to attack in games!

              HAMANN =
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Legend of a player, but I don't reckon he'll make a coach or a manager. He smoked like a chimney, was lazy in training, and if he was any more laid back he'd be horizontal! Great great player though.

I hope Sammy does come back. It'd be a good move by Rafa.

I'd prefer a number 2 who would eventually take over when Rafa leaves. That rules out Sammy Lee.
                      Liverpool born and bred.

                          Blummin eck that's a toughie H.

Would have to be a young aspirational manager. Can't think of any who I'd want at the moment.

True! I suppose you never can tell who's going to make it and who isn't...

Going back to the title of this thread, I never would have thought that Sammy Lee would turn out to be one of the best coaches in the country.
